Project Overview The Zooz cocktail project is a high-end retail venue situated in the vibrant Wharf district. Completed in 2023, the initiative focused on modernizing the property's exterior interface. The project was executed under the architectural direction of HBW Property Management. It aimed to enhance the storefront's visual appeal to match its prime location. The scope centered on specialized exterior improvements to revitalize the customer entry experience.
Our Contribution
We were engaged to manage and execute the critical exterior glazing improvements. Our primary responsibility was the supply and installation of a new, expansive storefront system. We specialize in the integration of large-format architectural bifold doors into the façade. Our team ensured precise structural framing to support the operable glass walls. We also managed the careful removal of existing exterior elements to prepare for the new installation.
Key Features
The standout feature of the renovation is the integration of dynamic bifold door systems. These operable walls allow the entire venue front to open completely to the exterior patio. Expansive panels of clear glazing maximize visibility from the street-level pedestrian areas. The modern framing features sleek profiles that complement the high-end retail aesthetic of The Wharf. High-quality hardware ensures the large doors operate smoothly for daily indoor-outdoor transitions.
Challenges and Solutions
Navigating logistics in the busy, foot-traffic-heavy Wharf area presented material delivery hurdles. Solution: We utilized strict "just-in-time" delivery schedules during off-peak morning hours. Achieving a perfect seal and smooth operation for large bifold doors demands tight tolerances. Solution: We employed advanced laser scanning technology for exact measurements prior to fabrication. Maintaining weather integrity during the removal of the old facade was a primary concern. Solution: Temporary weather barriers were installed daily to protect the interior finishes during construction.

The new exterior has significantly elevated the curb appeal and brand presence of Zooz cocktail. The operable bifold doors create a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, energizing the guest experience.
